I never really did pieces that revolved around planets. SO i decided to make that planet the center of attention...erm..well part of it besides the humongous flare and nebula clouds. Like 4 hours of work, since the planet was premade, and that took...i dont even remember. Enjoy it :D :boogie:

Nice but the light side should be in a bit more of a crescent shape no?

nice work here. Its simple, but the balance is rocksolid and very pleasing to look at. I like the dustlike stars you've added here, and it all blends very well with that nice planet you've made :) good work mate

Now Andrew, that is one great sun flare. :D Crimson & with great form, i love it. ;) Although maybe the sides of the inner golden light cut off too soon (resembling a square), just smooth that out in a gradient like flow & that will be the best flare i have ever seen! ;) I love how it shines on the whole scene too, lighting up the stellar dust & shining on the planet not too intrusively. The minimal use of starfield is definitely a great touch here.

The stellar dust is also nice & minimal but still with slight texture, a perfect combination for a piece like this. Now the next part, my favourite other point from all the others, the planets! The large one of course has your perfected texturing & lighting setup, with that original 'Andrew' look to it. ;) The small planets add a great touch aswell to feel the expansiveness of space. My only suggestion however is to rremove the smallest one right near the centre of the sun flare, so far in front it looks like a dark speck, i know it adds to the pattern, however i think the piece may look better without that one; Besides, that close to the sun it would be quite impossible to see it anyway, because of how bright that sun is.

Just a suggestion, & keep up this incredible work Andrew, its unique & good, i love it. 8-)

Soooo very sexy. I love the vertical nebula, and how you can see the other side of the planet with its subtle light. Awesome work on the starfeild as well, it is nearly perfect as always. The ONLY thing that is keeping me from giving this a favourite is the square light. I dont like it one bit :(. In my opinion in needs to be either rounded or a whole different shape. Other then that a nearly perfect piece. Keep this up man, you are quickly becomming one of my favourite spaceartists
