Another attempt at a Galaxy. brought up galaxies to me, and that got me practicing on them. Heres my galaxy :D
Inspired by My Chemical Romance hence the name Helena, which is my favorite song! Enjoy everyone :D

I think you did a pretty good job here. This would make a great satellite galaxy (small galaxy that circles around a larger one until merging with it).

Just like your other one, i think the core here is the key. I think it's too bright. You can try having some darker gas getting in front of it, slightly moved to the bottom so that it doesnt look like they're coming from the middle. Don't put them on the upper part of the core, because then it would look like they would be coming from the arms behind the core, which would be outshined and wouldnt look right.

Basically what i'm saying is that you need to add some depth to the core. The arms have pretty good depth, and I think the coloration is fine.

Another thing to highlight are the stars. You found a good balance with them. Not too many, not too few.

I think that if you work a bit on the core, you'll get a much more convincing sense of depth. To get a more visual idea of what i said, have a look at this. See the dark dust getting in front of it? That really adds depth. Imagine how it would look like without it. Of course, dont make it as defined as that one, since that galaxy is a lot bigger and defined than the one you painted.

I think that about covers it. Good luck and hit me up with any questions :)
